VANK exhibition in the National Museum of Korea

on December 22th, there was an opening ceremony of VANK exhibition in the National Museum of Korea(NMK).

It is located in Children’s room to educate children VANK activities.

Many of politics came.

(vice-mayor of Seoul, Chairman of YeonHap news,……)

Th exhibition is divided in 4 parts.

1. Introducing REAL Korea

In fact, there are many errors about Korea in books which is about world history.

For example, the sea between Korea and Japan is usually known to people all over the world as a ‘the sea of Japan’.

however, it can also called ‘the east sea’(of Korea) at least because it is not japanese land.

it is similar with ‘the Vltava River’(it is located in Czech, but it is sometimes called Moladu, German).

When the VANK members found the errors, they collected it and asked modification.

this is the collection.

2. After modification

After they tried to eliminate the misunderstanding Korea, some errors were modificated.

these successes were usually represented in the Internet.

3. Friendly Korea, advertising Korea

VANK is trying to upgrade the image of Korea, so they made a lot of booklets about Korea.

This part is representing the booklets and their efforts.

there are history postcards, tour place map, Korean tradition postcards(food, clothes, ,,,,) and so on.

4. the World Changer, Korea!

World Chager Korea

this is a participation part.

when you look around the previous three parts, you can leave a message to VANK or taking a picture.
